Our goal for this exhibition is demonstrate lockdown creativity, spreading positivity, ispiring and stimulating the confinants of the four walls. Even though most gallery spaces have been closed to the public access there is still fanatstic work being done behind closed doors. Whether it is through the amateur or the proffesional hand, we do not cease to create what

our imagination is pushing us to do.

You may have already become familiar with this exhibition's host artists, however this page features talent external to Kingston University London. We had the pleasure to invite and collaborate with artists such as Emily Hall Smith, Kevin Specht and Araminta Uncles who have so generously contributed to this ambitious project.

We want to make it clear that the art world is a freindly and inclusive one. Expecially in circumstances of our period, inventive solutions and gestures of solidarity and community have a new chance to flourish.

Adrianna Marciniec

An artist currently sudying BA Curating at Goldsmiths University, London. Her work ranges from murals to painted portraiture and scultpure and explores various themes and techniques. Her recent occupation revolves around gallery and pegagocial practices in gallery settings as she works alongside curators of the Goldsmiths Contemporary Arts Centre.

Rhiannon Rose

An artist based in Winchester/Wiltshire. Rhiannon is currently studying a BA in Fine Art at Winchester School of Art. Her practice is focused on photography, video and new media. The reoccurring theme in her work currently is on exploring the connections between the digital world and the real world.

Akir Hall

I'm a musician and I've never really made art before, but being 'creative' is for everyone. I think anyone can find something powerful in the experience of making.

Laura Kirk

An artist currently studying BA Fine art at the University of Leeds. Her work focuses on themes of time, colour psychology, with environmental awareness undertones. She likes to work with a range of materials including paint, to express her interest in texture and form, as well as digital art and sculpture.

Araminta Uncles

Artist based in Wiltshire, currently studying Foundation Art & Design at Wiltshire college. Her work explores materials such as oil paint and techniques like mark making.

Kevin Specht

Transformation of memories, reality and make believe into one visual narrative fuels his creative process. Combing images taken from photographs, cinema, literature and his imagination, he produces hallucinatory atmospheric landscapes using acrylic, oil, pastel and gouache pigments. These landscapes exist between representation and partial abstraction creating an otherworldly quality to the environment enhanced with the use of vivid colors and inverted tones, suggesting that a transformation is taking place. Within these shifting landscapes a narration is occurring that includes explorations into human relationships with authority, politics, nature, reality and cosmic forces.

Emily Hall Smith

An artist based in South East London, Currently studying A-Level art. Her main area of interest is political art, especially where it deals with the topics of gender and sexuality. She takes influence mainly from artists like Cindy Sherman and Adrian Piper.

Karolina Sungailaite

I am an artist based in South East London, currently studying BA Fine Art and History of Art. My work revolves around different forms of energies and the forms they uptake in settings such as video, installation, sound, photography. Artists that inspire me are Broomberg & Chanarin, Bill Viola, Richard Mosse.

Lucy Elizabeth Davies

Lucy is an artist currently based in Hastings. Her work is based around the female body and exploration of it. Lucy’s art often showcases the differences between the male and female body and the double standards surrounding them as well as taboos that come with the female body.

Using nude and natural tones, Lucy’s work takes form through sculpture and 3D work, photography and textural work. She often reappropriates domestic and stereotypically feminine objects using stockings to create body parts.

Lucy is due to start BA (Hons) Fine Art Mixed Media at University of Westminster in September. More of her work can be found @lucyelizadaviesartist on Instagram.
